st. nicolas lodge

The re-modelling of the ground floor of this detached Victorian house incorporates a two storey extension in blackened steel.

The proposed contemporary extension will allow the relocation of the kitchen and dining spaces to the south elevation to enjoy an abundance of natural light and open onto the rear garden, existing patio and external seating and eating area. A double height space over the dining area will provide a dramatic entertaining space befitting a grand house of this scale and will provide visual connection with an overlooking art gallery to exhibit both art collected and produced by the owner / occupiers.

The existing kitchen, dining and utility spaces will be reconfigured to provide a games room and guest cloakroom as well as a mud room accessed from the rear garden.

A double garage is proposed to the front side of the extension, accessed from the existing driveway.

The proposals also includes a steel frame conservatory for enjoyment in colder winter months as a replacement for the existing timber framed conservatory.
