Design and Planning

Stage 1:

  • Develop the initial project brief

  • Assist client to establish the Project Budget

  • Advise on the project roles/other members of the project team required to carry out the project

  • Act as Lead Designer

  • Arrange / carry out survey of site and/or buildings

Stage 2:

  • Prepare a study of design options / feasibility studies

  • Produce 3D models and visualisations to aid design discussions and development

  • Develop scheme to an agreed design

Stage 3:

  • Develop design with other consultants as needed

  • Preparation, submission and management of planning application


Technical Design

Stage 4a:

  • Technical and construction design drawings

  • Co-ordination and integration of designs from other project team members

  • Preparation of detailed specification of works

  • Preparation, submission and management of building control applications

Sated 4b:

  • Advise and prepare suitable Building Contracts

  • Prepare and advise on tendering processes

  • Advise on potential contractors

  • Invite, appraise and report on tenders


Construction and Project Management

Stage 5:

  • Provide the contractor with information required for construction

  • Contract administration

  • Visit the site to see that the work is proceeding generally in accordance with construction

    documents

  • Certify payments for work carried out or completed. Advise on final cost

  • Provide or obtain ‘As Constructed’ information showing the building and its services

  • Give general advice on maintenance and use of the building and services
